Overview

Hourglass is designed with privacy as a core principle. Your debt data stays on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal or financial information to any server.

Data we don't collect

• No analytics or usage tracking
• No advertising identifiers
• No personal information (name, email, or location)
• No financial account data or bank connections
• No device fingerprinting
• No crash reporting that includes personal data

Data stored on your device

Hourglass stores the following data locally on your device using on-device SQLite storage:

• Debt profiles you create (name, balance, interest rate, minimum payment, and optional notes)
• Payment scenarios and projections you configure
• App preferences and settings

This data never leaves your device. There is no account, no cloud sync, and no server that receives your information.

No bank connections

Hourglass does not connect to any bank, financial institution, or data aggregator. All data is entered manually by you. We have no access to your accounts, balances, or transaction history.

In-app purchases

Hourglass is a one-time purchase processed entirely through Apple's App Store. We use RevenueCat to manage purchase entitlements. RevenueCat receives a pseudonymous app user ID — no personal or financial information is shared. See RevenueCat's privacy policy for details.

Third-party services

• RevenueCat — in-app purchase management (pseudonymous ID only)
• Apple App Store — purchase processing

Hourglass uses no advertising SDKs, analytics platforms, or third-party tracking services.

Children's privacy

Hourglass is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.

1. Acceptance

By downloading or using Hourglass, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not download or use the app.

2. License

Anchorpoint Software LLC grants you a personal, non-commercial, non-transferable license to use Hourglass on Apple devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and Apple's App Store terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sublicense, or reverse engineer the app.

3. In-App Purchase

Hourglass is available as a one-time purchase ($4.99 USD) with a 30-day free trial. All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store — Apple's purchase terms and refund policy govern all transactions. We do not process payments directly and cannot issue refunds outside of Apple's policies. We use RevenueCat solely to verify purchase entitlements.

4. Not Financial Advice

Hourglass is a calculation tool. The payoff projections, interest estimates, and timelines it produces are mathematical estimates based solely on the data you enter. They do not constitute financial, tax, or legal advice. Actual loan payoff amounts and timelines may differ due to lender policies, variable interest rates, fees, and other factors. Always consult your lender and, where appropriate, a qualified financial professional.

5. Your Data

All debt profiles and scenarios you create in Hourglass are stored locally on your device. You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter. Anchorpoint Software LLC has no access to your data and cannot recover it if you delete the app or lose your device.

6. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Circumvent or attempt to circumvent purchase verification
• Use the app for any purpose that violates applicable law
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

HOURGLASS IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT CALCULATIONS WILL MATCH YOUR ACTUAL LOAN OUTCOMES.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ANCHORPOINT SOFTWARE LLC'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF HOURGLASS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

IN NO EVENT SHALL ANCHORPOINT SOFTWARE LLC BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the State of Florida.
